I’ve just come off a call with my mastermind group in the US.
To be honest, the mood was a little bleak.
These guys are among the leaders in the coaching field in the States, but the message on most peoples’ lips centred around the idea that the coaching market is imploding.
The brutal reality?
There are too many coaches.
There’s still a need, but because so many life coaches have sprung up over the last few years, there are a lot of coaches struggling to get clients and make a living.
The UK is no different – I regularly meet coaches who struggle to make ends meet because they’re not able to get the clients they need.
All this means one thing:
You either give up, or you get better at attracting new clients and making yourself stand out from the crowd.
Here are three ways to do this:
- Position yourself as an AUTHORITY with great CONTENT.
You must stand out from the crowd. You cannot be “just another life coach”; instead you need to position yourself in the mind of your client as an authority for what you do and when they are ready to buy THEY think of you.
- Use your STORY.
If you want to be remembered, you must share your story because it connects people to the WHY of what you do and people connect with you at a deeper level.
- Deliver your message ONE-TO-MANY.
When you communicate with your target clients by getting featured in the Press, you not only reach millions of people, you also catapult your reputation because you’ll be instantly seen as one of the top people in your field, so people will seek you out and expect to pay a higher rate.
I’ve been doing the above for over 20 years and it’s enabled me to become a recognised authority in my industry, a best selling author and be featured in multiple national newspapers and magazines in the country.
