It’s March and it may be time to re-evaluate what you’re doing for this year. Is what you’re doing working? Are you reaching people? Are you on track to attract clients?
I’m going to bring you examples of some great people I’ve been working with, so their stories can inspire you.
My name is Debs and I have wanted to work for myself for over 30 years. 3 months ago, I bit the bullet and handed in my notice, giving up my secure job of 12 years.
I have two children. Harry is nine and Eloisa is seven. My husband, Graeme, an IT consultant, supported me because he saw how stressed and unhappy I was.
I felt that time was ticking and at 47 years old, if I didn’t do it now, I’d look back and regret that I had wasted most of my potential.
That feeling of frustration and the pressurised environment I worked in was affecting my health. I’d been prescribed medication for anxiety and things were spiralling downwards.
Last July, I was rushed into hospital with a chest infection. My immune system was so weakened with stress that antibiotics were not making any difference at all. I needed an operation to clear away an abscess. Yet I went back to work two days after the operation because I felt an obligation to get my work done.
By the following January, I was waking up with an anxious, burning sensation in my stomach, chest and limbs. The doctor offered betablockers.
I had to face the fact that the stress and unhappiness was costing me my health.
I handed in my notice and felt a mix of relief and anxiety. The future was now completely up to me and that was both exciting and scary.
I had read Be Your Own Life Coach 20 years ago and avidly listened to Fiona’s Saturday Solutions community calls. I reached out and spoke to Fiona and made the decision to commit to getting her help because I knew she had so much to teach me.
I had trained in various spiritual techniques and thought I might offer readings to people. After speaking to Fiona, she saw that I had battled with a major weight problem all my life. At my heaviest, I was almost 17 stones.
I had solved my own weight problem and that was what I should help others with.
I lost 5 stones and eighteen months on, I’ve kept the weight off.
I can wear jeans for the first time; I can climb over stiles when I take the dog for a walk and I love going into a clothes shop and picking a size 12 off the shelf!
I didn’t starve or spend hours at the gym.
Fiona instantly saw that I had solved my weight problem in a unique way. She knew that I could help others who had tried diets and yo-yo dieted for years, as I had.
This felt exciting and I saw how I could include my spiritual approach to help people in a very real way. I saw how I could bring all of me to life and into a business where I could really help people and make a difference.
Fiona’s excitement was almost as strong as mine and she has carefully crafted an individual programme to support my needs during this phase of my business development; without her drive and dedication to coach me to be my best, I definitely would not be this far forward yet.
I have never been driven by money. I have always been driven by a desire to help others and I am finally doing that now.
I have a proven Weight-loss System that Fiona helped me create. I have complete confidence in what I have to offer and I can see the incredible potential it has to help people.
