Louise Haye's 'You can Heal Your Life' is the most inspirational book I have read. It never fails to give me comfort and encouragement to move on when things get tough.

I have been inspired by lots of people, including friends & family members, but Mother Theresa is easily the greatest. Her compassion & love for those she has never even met are amazing, & her determination to make a difference, (she would have done the same even without any recognition) I think of her often & how she would react to different situations, she is even after her death a true inspiration.

Many have inspired me but recently it was Eddi Reader formerly of 80's pop group Fairground Attraction and now a very successful folk singer. She was inspired by the poet Robbie Burns and has written an album of songs to celebrate his life and work. She was always very beautiful as a young woman but is even more stunning as a mature Mum. I hit 40 this year and didn't like it at all but having seen her on her recent tour I was totally inspired by her individuality, confidence, wit and creativity.

I voted for 'other'. When I was very young I remember sitting in our v dull v boring church and a woman called Pat Gilmour was visiting telling us about how she travelled out to third world countries and taught the children about God & Jesus. She told such moving stories about how these children had nothing and had no idea what God was - and then how much happiness and hope they were given to know that there was more to life than the poverty they lived in. I remember this every day and often wish I could do something similar, but I'm not a Christian and am quite modern in my views, so a church wouldn't want to send me out there! It's like a testimony to the story of Pandora's box, the last thing she found in the box was hope. Hope and faith are everything.

Besides Fiona, I have more than one, and sometimes my inspiration changes, from Business Women to Actresses to Friends whom I admire.
