I find as I get older that my very fixed views on a number of subjects have softened.
In the past I would have said a resounding no to any cosmetic surgery, but my life has changed in so many ways and my views along with it (and not just because I'm getting older).
The me I am today, may well decide that after some thorough research and a lot of inner talk that I would have a face-lift.
If however they invent a non-invasive alternative in the next few years then I'm first in the queue!

Wouldn't have one at the moment because a) I don't need one b) can think of better uses for the money c) too much ouch! involved.
But if in 10 years time it was a cheap and painless process, and medical science might take us to that point, then I might think about going for it! Or alternatively our views as a society on ageing might also have changed.

I am one of the tiny minority who have already had one. My mother had droopy eyelids that got worse as she got older and a very saggy neckline. I have unfortunately inherited those from her. My lift concentrated on those areas and have made a massive difference to how I feel about myself and to my confidence. I had this done about a year ago at age 38, as I did not want it to go too far and then have a dramatic change. I will probably have to have it done again at least once, maybe more and I will. My Mum looked 70 when she was 50. I don't have to so why should I?

I feel that the only thing that would convince me to get a lift would be if I felt that the end result would more accurately reflect how I was feeling inside or provide me with a healthier outlook. I say this because I know someone who had to have an eye lid tuck for medical reasons, she said not only did her physical vision improve, but, her emotional outlook on life and the world changed when she no longer had a droopy lids hanging over her eyes.
