What's Stopping You?

The responses to last week's poll indicate that many people are planning major changes in the next few years. Have you made a start yet? If not, why not?

What Do You Think?
What is holding you back?
Fear of failure - what if it all goes wrong?
Lack of motivation - it's so hard to take the first step!
Lack of confidence - I am not sure I will be able to do it
Uncertainty - I am not sure what I really want to do
Practical things - it just is not the right time
A combination of the factors above - it's complicated
Nothing! I am well on the way to making major change

Is it about money?  While there are few people who can afford to pack in their job and go back to full time education, there are loads of reasonably priced or even free courses in all sorts of things all over the country. Or on the internet. I don't know anyone's personal situation of course, but lack of money sounds to me more like an excuse than a reason.

It's all about the money! Can't afford to retrain.
