Susan's Story

According to the new revised edition of the “Collins Concise Dictionary” – one of the meanings of  “reinvent” is:

to replace (a product, etc) with an entirely new version

Almost one year on from my initial contact with Fiona, here I am COMPLETELY reinvented.  In fact, if you read her latest book “Reinvent Yourself”, you can read all about me on page 50 (reprint here)!  Naturally “Claire” is not my real name, nor the fact that I live in Nice, but similar.  I have read that page over and over again and, as Fiona says, I am NOT a wimp!! – I was just living the life of one!

I’m now a completely new ME

That, I am pleased to say, is no longer the case.  It’s taken a while I must admit, but I’m now a completely new ME, or rather, I’m the ME I used to be! I’m simply myself!

SusanI suppose by putting so much time and energy into accommodating the requirements of my husband’s career, I lost my own identity and somehow gathered an excess amount of “baggage” also.  By that I mean negative attachments. I didn’t even realise I was in that situation – everything just seemed as normal.

It’s a bit like deteriorating eyesight – it is so gradual you don’t even realise it’s happening until you find you can’t see what normally sighted people can see.  I am now much more clear sighted and focused, I have a belief in myself.  Over the years I’d put so much energy into being physically fit that I’d quite forgotten that being mentally fit requires constant work also.

I could never stay in the house, but always had to go out and “escape”.  I could never relax or sit down and read a book.  I never knew what I was “escaping” from – I just knew I had to get out.  And here I am – out in the world again as a player!  Fiona gave me the inspiration to change my attitude and outlook and to take responsibility to make my own life work.

I initially started with plans to be a personal trainer but that soon moved to my own Fitness & Lifestyle Consultancy.  I became involved in nutrition also, which led me to the conclusion that the food we all eat today is no longer as healthy as we would like to believe. On the contrary, – there is hardly any nutritional value left at all.  Add to that the fast pace of our stressful lifestyles and it’s no wonder that so many people are so unhealthy both mentally and physically:  4 out of 10 primary causes of death are coronary heart disease, diabetes 2, cancer, and strokes.

With all the above in mind, and in conjunction with coaching from Fiona, I keep taking action.  I’m keeping positive at all times, I’m reading so many books and constantly learning.  I’m drinking Aloe Vera products – the effect of which is incredible.

It changed my life so much that I am now a distributor for Aloe Vera products both in the UK and Italy and I’m working on expansion in other countries also. It’s known as the “Miracle Plant”, because different bodies draw different benefits, according to their need.  The feedback I’m getting from my clients is that they all have an increased sense of energy and well-being.
