My Story

How I came to work with Fiona has restored my faith in fate!

I had read one of her books, and having just finished my job after after seven years, I had a lot of free time, so I was surfing the internet and signed up to her newsletter.

I had left work after a very difficult period where an employee had made many false and damaging accusations against me of bullying and harassment. Having stuck through the whole process, from investigations to confrontations, anonymous emails and ruined holidays, I managed to leave with a redundancy package and was suddenly at a total loss.

Positive Effect

When Fiona’s newsletter came through offering to take a couple of new clients on I immediately answered. Out poured an email about everything that had happened at work and how I now didn’t know where to turn. Later that day Fiona and I were speaking on the phone and I knew straight away that she was going to have a positive effect on my life.

Fiona immediately picked up on my biggest issues – or challenges as I have now come to call them! The main one was my overwhelming problem with guilt and "feeling bad."

I realized that a lot of the decisions and courses I had taken in my life had been as a result of feeling bad and not wanting to upset or disappoint people, particularly my family.

Saying "NO"

I had forgotten how to say no, had forgotten to ask myself what I wanted, and I doubted every choice and decision I made. From small things like making sure I spoke to my mum at least once a day because I felt bad otherwise, to biggies like not standing up for myself properly at work. I had become a total slave to needless worry and guilt!

Once I became aware of this habit I was able to stop my train of thought. Every time I began to feel bad or guilty I kicked in with a couple of mantras that Fiona had given me. And they worked! I had completely underestimated the power that these positive affirmations could have on me.

Dreams And Passions

We then moved onto what I really wanted – my dreams and my passions. I really want to travel, to experience life in another country. Up to now I had told myself that this wouldn’t be possible because I knew that the guilt trip my family would lay would just be too much to bear.

Not anymore! I now know that I have the ability to get over this and use my favorite affirmation – I am responsible for my happiness and everyone else is responsible for theirs!

We then looked at my career – I have always fallen into jobs accidentally but then always given it my most, inecitably ended up being promoted and given more and more responsibility - without every realizing what I really wanted to do! Turns out I really want to run my own business – and once I had spoken it out loud the details all fell into place.

I want to open a fabulous centre for wellbeing, from incredible massages and facials, to yoga, healing and counseling. I could see the venue, the décor, even the type of people I’d like to work with.

Plans

I really wanted to go to New Zealand but the visa applications may not work out so we have a backup plan of Canada!

Either way, I know that 2007 will be spent experiencing an incredible new life and while I may not be able to start my own business straight away I am going to be working towards it constantly – which means lots of strenuous "research" attending fabulous spas!

The main benefit I have found with life coaching with Fiona has been in how my outlook has totally changed. I am very aware now and very selective! No more putting up with other peoples rubbish and lots of appreciation for the good stuff!

It has been an incredible experience and I couldn’t recommend it more!
