Reinvention: Kristie's Story

I was a public relations assistant at a hospital in North Carolina. I had been unhappy with my job for a while. After 9/11 happened, I decided that money wasn't everything and determined to make the switch to teaching.

I love children, and I had been teaching a seminar I'd developed at the local college, so I decided to combine the two and teach children. I went to job fairs and interviewed with principals to find my best fit. And God rewards those who seek to do what's right - it turns out the man I was teaching the college seminars for was on the school board!

It really helped to have his recommendation! I am now happily teaching seventh graders.  It is a perfect fit for me.  It also opened the doors to travel - which I took my first independent trip to the UK last year.

That's where I found Fiona's book, Be Your Own Life Coach, which really helped me clarify my goals.
