My Reinvention Success - Lynne

At 30, I left my husband of 8 years and, having been a stay-at-home wife for the last four years of my marriage, stepped back into the terrifying big wide world again. I began studying counselling at evening class, but after two years was still unsure if this was what I wanted as a career.

A friend recommended Fiona's website and book "Be Your Own Life Coach" and from there I haven't looked back!

I booked a coaching session with Francine Kaye, and she helped me immensely. We spoke about whether counselling was the right career move for me at this time, and I came to the conclusion that it wasn't.

Getting Organised

She also helped me with time management and organisation - I think I must be the world's biggest procrastinator and general dreamer! I realised that I could train to do what I wanted and then build up my client base in the evenings and weekends without having to give up the security of my job.

As well as helping me set short-term goals for myself, Francine also helped me to believe in myself, and to believe that I can do whatever I want to.

I am now a licensed NLP practitioner, have learnt Reiki to level 2, am currently training to be a hypnotherapist and am studying with the OU for a degree in psychology.

Next year, I am helping to train on a NLP course being held in Perth in February, begin an advanced hypnotherapy training course in March and will train as master NLP practitioner in the summer.

I have a full time job that I enjoy, have a wonderful partner and am earning twice as much as I was when I left my husband less than four years ago. All this from a little girl who, four years ago, had so little self-confidence she hardly went anywhere without her husband.

Just do it

So, whatever it is you want to do with your life, just do it! Taking the first step is the scariest, but oh, so exciting! And after that, everything just seems to keep falling into place for the next step. A big thank you to Francine and Fiona, belief and encouragement are the biggest helpers anyone can wish for.
