Jo's Story - with Update!

Dear Fiona,

Well there I was flicking through a Glamour magazine when I spotted an article about your book ... got me thinking as I was paying £45 per hour to a life coach in Brighton, but it just didn't feel right ... more like counselling ... which I've been through before and hated...

So I wasn't exactly looking for another way of getting my life coaching, until I walked into Borders, read one page of your book and was HOOKED!

It was quite literally the best tenner I have ever spent in my life ... it took me four weeks to finish, I burst into tears at the "self limiting beliefs" as I realised I had quite literally been my own worst enemy...

You probably get zillions of e mails, and I rarely take the time to write to people and thank them ... well, I didn't but I'm learning! I really wanted you to know how much you have helped me ... and I thank you from the bottom of my belly, heart, knees ... whatever!?!???!!!!

I would love to come and see you for a seminar or workshop ... I am going away in October for 3 or 4 months to travel this fab globe of ours then plan to come back and re-train to be an interior designer (thank you ... your book made me realise that I can do it and stuff all the negative bunnies who say "oooh, that's so competitive, you'll never make any money..." yeah well guess what ... I ain't tried so how do YOU know what I can and can't do ... that soon shuts 'em up!)

I'm buzzing with life and the fun and excitement ahead and I really would love to visit you in London town and learn some more ... also would you be able to send me info about becoming a life coach (just another little option I want to investigate...)?

Well oughta go ... really look forward to hearing from you. Thank you Fiona and congrats you were in Glamour again this month ... I got 60 out of a 100 and am keen to grow into a 100 per-center!

Heartfelt thanks, yours,

Jo's Update

Hi there,

Thank you for your e mail, surprised you have the time!

I had to let you know that after banging ON and ON about THE book to numerous mates, I have had some really excellent feedback that you may want to know...

Vicky: signed off work (IT recruitment) for months with depression and stress, taking beta blockers (ouch) considers your book to be the factor that has got her published! She's in a couple of local (Brighton) based magazines and is planning to do a journalism course and get paid for all her newly found creativity!

Hoooraaaaahhhh!! She also went on holiday with someone from the Daily Mirror who has met you and told Vicky what a fantastic and positive person you are and really encouraged her to carry on with the book...

Sue: married mum in a job that she HAS to do to pay the mortgage, I've never seen her so positive and happy with her lot, the stress and strain of her day is handled superbly and yep ... THE book is getting the credit.

Lara: started an art agency 18 months ago, admits she's been going round 'n' round in circles, is on page 60 of the book and rang to tell me she had burst into tears on a packed bus ... lesson learnt, don't read it in public!!

Has just been approached to do work with a VERY famous person ... waaaaaaahhhhhhhaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!!

So, am getting lots of brownie points from friends and more importantly, am really happy to see my wonderful friends learning to help themselves and really get to grips with what they are capable of ... which brings me to ask you: how does one become a life coach???? What path led you to this career? Any advice you can give me will be very gratefully received as it's very satisfying to feel that you've helped someone to this extent ... I'd really like to look into it and if possible, return to study and GO FOR IT!!!

Anyway, thanks for listening!
