Diane's Story
When I first contacted Sue I felt frustrated, dissatisfied and demotivated in my job. I wasn't going anywhere - no matter, it seemed, how hard I tried. My entire life was being affected as I was becoming irritable and moody outside work too. I'd been applying for jobs but didn't seem to be having any success. I was starting to get into a horrible self-doubt nose dive. It honestly felt like a big black cloud was following me around!
Now, I feel like a whole new world has opened up to me. Within 3 months of working with Sue I have a new job in a new company. The job, the company and my colleagues are great and I'm earning 20% more than before. I also feel so much more confident and, dare I say it, alive!
Sue helped me create a great CV and even more importantly helped me to get it out there under employers' noses. She also helped me to build my interview confidence, something I was pretty nervous about after years in the same job. It was so much easier than I expected - Sue gave me simple, effective techniques that really worked, even including how to handle giving presentations. I was amazed how much we covered and how quickly. What's more, Sue had promised me I'd start to enjoy the whole process and amazingly I found I did!
The proof of the pudding was that the results of my efforts before working with Sue had been rejection letters, whereas after I got job interviews that led to job offers. In the end, I was in the wonderful position of being able to choose between two jobs.
There was a bonus too. Once I'd got my new job, I continued my coaching sessions with Sue and I'm sure I benefited just as much from this. Sue helped me find my feet quickly; she was a terrific sounding board and really helped me to get a sense of perspective in my new role. Her support in my first few weeks helped me to make good decisions and to make a positive impression right from the beginning.
Overall, I feel that I've made a great investment in my career and my future, and that now I'm on my way. It's a powerful feeling!
