David's Story
Hi Fiona,
When I came across your book, I was at a real crossroads. Just to give you a bit of a background, I went to LA to follow my dream as an actor. I got some work over there on some of the TV programmes and films etc. At some point I got word that the Irish Film industry was booming and I decided to return to Ireland.
When I arrived home I found the acting scene quite difficult to get into. I picked up a 9-5 job to support me, I found myself getting quite despondent and really becoming unhappy. I felt there was something more, it was then that a friend of mine suggested I read your book, which is what I did. I really got into action and decided that to be truly happy I would have to have the best of both worlds. I worked on my show reel and got it out to agents. I then left the 9-5 and set up my own business, a Recruitment Company. Through affirmations and creating a strong belief in myself I am getting some good acting work and also managing a successful business. I do find that one cannot rest on their laurels for too long. Working on yourself must be continuous but with that you will get the results. And I'm now looking at setting up a production company to produce films etc!
My personal life has also really taken shape because I have married the girl of my dreams and we are truly happy.
Kind Regards,
David Campbell
