Barbara's Story - with Update!
Hello Fiona!
I found your remarkable book just over a week ago and would like to say what a great boon it is to me.
I am 54 and walked out of an abusive marriage almost two years ago. Since then things have changed a bit! I have lost 20 kg in weight, have got a new look, new home, new car, bought and learned to use a computer, done an OU course and been promoted.
I am aware, though, that I still have not been living exactly the life I'd really like for myself. And this awareness has steered me towards lots more of the helpful reading material I have always sought out. I was particularly drawn to your book...maybe it was the vibrant orange cover that did it ... or your "C'mon, girl, give this a go" photo on the back ... and I went back especially a few days later to seek it out. And my goodness, Fiona, it's a real powerhouse!
Your book has hit me between the eyeballs with the power of its wisdom and the easy clarity of its plan. It's what I needed to hear. It was the bit on self-reliance that had the biggest impact in those early readings. That really struck home since I recognise myself there and am delighted to be able to pin-point and change such a major obstacle to the life I expect.
I have started having a 'duvet morning' on Saturdays to re-read what I've read during the week and to do the exercises. It feels like I'm giving myself a huge treat, one I look forward to, and I savour every moment. I am eagerly working my way through and giving myself time in between to think, rethink and make changes. It's heady stuff!
Honestly, Fiona, I don't want to go OTT with the effusive praise, but this really is a remarkable, outstanding book and I thank you for taking the time out to write it. You are what my mum calls a 'life-enhancer'. Well done, you! Happy Days!
With love,
Barbara Campbell

Barbara's Update
Fiona, since I wrote to tell you how energising I had found Be your Own Life Coach, I think you could say that there have been a few developments!
I followed up your recommendation and am currently being coached by a very gifted, inspiring lady that you recommended called Mandi Harrington. Our conversations have helped me to come through a tidal wave of change in my working and personal life with more clarity and vision than I have ever had before. I have discovered that I don't much like a lot of what I'm doing, would really rather be doing something completely different and am planning to reinvent my working life!
I have shed many of the very limiting beliefs I have nursed throughout my adult life and am allowing myself to sail away with my "Wild Ideas" list. I have begun to see what a talented and interesting person like me could be getting up to instead of hanging around with a life-script someone or other gave me many, many years ago.
I have to go now; I have a training course to get to...
With love,
Barbara Campbell
