Ann's Story
Hello Fiona,
I've just finished reading your book. I really wanted to share with you the changes I feel that your book has brought about.
I had a disadvantaged childhood with an abusive alcoholic mother and a violent father. I was also sexually abused at the age of ten. I left school with no qualifications at the age of 15. I also left home. At 18 I had my first child with my present partner and by the age of 22 we had three incredible children. We had very little money and lived in rented accommodation. For some reason I continued to complete courses. A BTEC in community care, 4 GCSEs, 3 A levels, 1 access course and at present I have completed my second year of my occupational therapy degree.
My time at university has been the most difficult time of my life. Mainly because I expect stumbling blocks and hard times. I proved myself right when I failed my second year placement! This encouraged me to question my ability and values. I went for a dyslexic test and was told I was dyslexic. I have also been attending counselling. When I read an article in a magazine about life coaching it inspired me to look for a light at the end of my own tunnel and I found your book. Since reading your book I have stopped drinking, I have started to loose weight and I've learnt so much from your approach.
I have read the book in two weeks so I need to reread it and to reinforce the fantastic advice you offer. I would like to find out about seminars, books, tapes and how much a life coach costs. By next summer I want to have enough money to have some life coaching sessions. As for now I'm going to reread your book and buy at least five copies to give to friends and family.
Thanks for all your wisdom and help. Thanks for teaching me to breathe life into my dreams.
