Express The Real You
Tuesday, September 12 2006Do you ever wonder about the real you, how much you express the real, authentic you? Does your job reflect the real you? Does your choice of companions? Your choice of home?
Living a life that reflects who we feel we really are strengthens and confirms our identity. Living a life that conflicts with who we feel we are leaves us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.
One reason coaching is so popular is that it allows you to address these vital questions of: Who am I? Who do I want to be? How do I build a life that reflects this?
September is a popular month to reflect on these questions. The summer break has given us time to stop and think and inquire within. Interestingly, it's also the busiest time of year for changing jobs!
I've asked Mike Blissett to step up and give us some tips on the subject. Mike has also rewritten our Express Yourself online course, expanding it and bringing it right up to date with the latest thinking and techniques for successful self-expression, and you can read more about the course below or online here.
We also have a great example of enhanced self-expression from Ewan Lacey, a young man who came to a talk I gave in London last year and went on to work with Mike.
Before I hand you over to Mike and Ewan, I just need to let you know that the Newsletter will not be weekly, but monthly, sometimes bi-monthly, from now on. I have been doing the weekly Newsletter for over two years now, and I need a break from this routine to stay fresh and enthusiastic myself.
I have one or two new projects, which, while helping to express the real me, mean I don't have enough time left over to guarantee an energetic Newsletter every week. I will be introducing a new motivational e-mail service soon, which will be weekly, to ensure you are kept enthused every single week!
