Be a Brilliant Coach!
Thursday, March 31 2005I hope this finds you well and you enjoyed the Easter break. This is a special one-off, aimed at our members who are working as Coaches themselves or in training. Over the years I have frequently been asked to offer some sort of training or support to coaches.
Many organisations now exist to offer training, and 1000s of graduates are now working or hoping to work in this field. From what I’ve seen, there is an urgent need for another level of mentoring and support to coach these individuals to fine tune and polish their skills.
The real challenges begin once you have obtained that certificate and are working with clients. This is when you need to work closely with an experienced Master Coach, who will support you to develop your own style and approach to take you to your next level, to become a brilliant coach.
To be a brilliant coach, you need expert support and guidance on developing your practical skills. You need to be watched and listened to closely, as you coach, by an experienced coach. You need to watch and listen to experienced coaches working with issues and clients. You need your own mentor, who is totally committed to your personal excellence and success.
It gives me great pleasure to offer such a service, a finishing school for coaches! Two of my most experienced coaches, Francine Kaye and Cherry Claus will be running a superb Coach Mentoring Programme. I have worked with both of them closely for over five years and they are both brilliant coaches and fabulous people, passionate about improving the quality of coaching in the UK, and throughout the world.
You are eligible to join this Programme if you are currently taking a coach training course or have completed one. This is not designed for complete beginners. Our services consists of two distinct approaches; one is a telephone based six–week programme in which Cherry and Francine will take no more than six individuals, working with real-life issues, during which time you get the opportunity to coach, be coached and enhance your skills. Our first Mentored Coaching Telephone Programme kicks off on the 11th and 12th April, you can see more details by clicking here. As we are taking no more than six people on each programme, do book immediately if you’d like to do this.
The second approach of our Mentored Coaching Programme is a two-day workshop, The Coach’s Toolkit. The two days will give you the opportunity to really hone your skills and learn from two Master coaches who will provide you with tips and tools that you can use immediately. Both Francine and Cherry have extensive experience of working with private clients and within organisations. Cherry is a guest tutor at a number of Coaching schools while Francine has been mentoring new coaches for the past two years. Both have delivered seminars to the general public and within the corporate sectors.
Our first workshop is on Tuesday 3rd & Weds 4th of May, with a weekend one on 4th June 4th and 5th. We’re keeping numbers to no more than 30, so please book immediately, as we anticipate this workshop will be very popular. You can book today - see the News page for more details.
