Love, Love, Love
Tuesday, June 28 2005Dear friend,
I hope this finds you well. Our theme this week is love – and making it last. Life would be so simple if love really was all you needed to maintain a relationship.
Au contraire!
In Britain we have the worst divorce statistics in Europe with 2 out of 3 marriages failing. These couples started out in love, but love just wasn't enough to keep them together.
I believe our schools should include emotional intelligence in the curriculum and teach good communication and personal skills from an early age. For those of us past school age it's never too late to learn and thankfully there are great people around to help us out.
One such teacher is our wonderful coach Francine Kaye, who specialises in showing people - and companies - how to live a successful life based on their values and develop effective communication skills.
Recently, she has been spending a lot of time working with couples to rescue or dramatically improve the state of their relationships - people who love each other, but... You may have seen the US relationship expert Michele Weiner-Davis on television recently who actually moves in with a couple for a week to try and save their relationship. Francine is our very own Relationship Guru! And whilst she may stop short of moving in with you, her approach is very similar and just as successful.
I'm handing you over to Francine who will give you her top tips for making love work. See her personally on Saturday the 9th of July in Chelsea when she runs her new Build Your Business workshop or get in touch with her directly if you'd like to discuss your own situation, francine@fionaharrold.com.
