Goals, Goals, Goals
Tuesday, October 18 2005Dear friend,
as you can see, our focus this week is on goals. One of the most successful goal-achievers I've ever met is the brilliant Hetal Shah, our very own business coach. Hetal has the air of a man in control, who has a plan, who knows where he's going and you are left in no doubt that he'll get there, each and every time.
And he's done it again! He's just achieved his 10-year goal of being appointed Finance Director for Cadbury Schweppes in South-east Asia and as you read this, he's on his way to Bangkok. Congratulations Hetal.
The most outstanding impression Hetal has left me with is his unshakable, unswerving faith in himself to do, be or have whatever he feels is right for him in his life. He is also immensely practical in having a clear, written plan for the success of his goals.
I've asked him to say a few words on his strategy, which clearly works!
I've also brought you two more interesting coaching success stories: this time from Francine Kaye and Sue Clarke about people who have taken control with a fresh new plan for their lives.
I agree with Sue when she says, "We all need a sense of our own identity, a feeling of being in control, and of positive expectation for the future. If we don’t feel those things, and it doesn't matter what has taken them away – a bad marriage, an unfulfilling job, a bullying environment – the consequence will be that our self-esteem will erode and our satisfaction with life will fade."
