Self-Belief In The Down Times
Tuesday, July 5 2005Dear friend,
I hope this finds you well. Our theme this week is self-belief – in the down times.
Self-belief is easy when the going is good and all around you are singing your praises and your achievements are on show for all to see. But what happens when the show is over, the lights are down, and you're staring into an empty space?
Sounds dramatic but it's an all too familiar situation for Rita Hamill, our wonderful Performance Coach, who is also a professional actor. Rita has just finished a hugely successful run in London's Tricycle Theatre in a play that received rave reviews and is back doing the inevitable round of castings, calls and meetings.
Rita knows all about keeping faith in yourself and your talent. It's one of the reasons that she's such a brilliant coach and can really help people turn their lives around in a very real and practical way.
I met one of her successful clients recently at a talk I gave in London. A sparkly, vivacious young woman bounced up to me and told me how she had thrown herself at Rita in despair and within a matter of weeks had totally changed her life. I exaggerate not one iota.
I'm handing you over to Rita. Don't hesitate to speak to Rita if you feel you could do with a boost or give your life a shake-up. Book her before she heads off to Emmerdale or Coronation Street! rita@fionaharrold.com
