Staying Positive

Answer by Francine Kaye

Maria asks:

I am trying really hard to keep positive about life but find some days harder than others to get through.

How can I learn to maintain my new attitude so that I'm not consistently trying to boost myself and exhausting myself in the process?

Francine says:

Sounds like you have come a long way already in your life and now you are in maintenance mode - always the hardest part! Motivation is like a muscle, you need to keep building it to strengthen it.

I suggest you set yourself a Daily Intention. Something like, "my intention for today is to live with ease" or my "my intention for today is to be efficient" or even my "intention for today is to be grateful".

Make up one for every day of the week. Say it to yourself five times before getting to work and during the day, when the going gets tough, recall your intention and recommit to it.

It's a fabulous tool for staying focused and true to yourself.
