Five Steps To Change Your Life

1. Set the scene

Identify clearly what your ideal life actually is. If you don't know where you are going or indeed why you are going there you may never reach your destination. Clarity over what you actually want is imperative.

I have often heard clients say "I'm afraid I might end up." Be honest with yourself, what choices have you made that have brought you to where you are now and what choices and changes would you need to make in order to catapult you to where you want to go?

Remember we don't "end up" anywhere - we arrive precisely where our choices take us.

2. Write the script

Collect the evidence you need to verify you are worthy of and deserving of this new life you want to create. It's vital that you feel worthy of what you are aiming to achieve. If you don't you may subconsciously sabotage any attempts to realise your dream.

So get a pen and paper out and indulge in some detective work. Once you have this vital evidence it will make drawing up a plan of action much easier and indeed much more satisfying. Be bold with your ideas and identify all the options available to you to enable you to live your ideal lifestyle.

3. Edit the plot

Identifying what's not working in your life is equally as important as knowing what you want. You need to ensure that your life is working for you on your terms.

  • Does how you are living now support your life's dream?
  • What do you need to eliminate from your life in order to realise your true potential?
  • What - or indeed who - in your life needs to go?
  • Be honest with yourself - what are you settling for?
  • What are you hanging on to that doesn't work for you anymore?
  • What risks are you prepared to take?
  • What "re-writes" do you need to implement to get going?

Practice you attitude!4. Dress Rehearsal time

Start to live, feel, think, walk and talk the part. There's little point in knowing what you want to do in life with out having the courage to actually live it. Talent is wonderful, courage is even better. Who is it you want to be?

Start to believe it's well within your capabilities and begin to rehearse being the new you.

  • How does the new you think, or even dress?
  • What attitude does the new you have?
  • What does the new you do with your day?
  • How does the new you react in certain situations?

Act the part.  Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse.

5. Be ready to play the Lead Role

By taking control of your own destiny and being ready to step into your own spotlight you are empowering yourself.

Are you ready for the changes you need to make? Are you ready for the success you are creating?

What support do you need in your life to enable you to comfortably upgrade yourself to your true role in life? Where can you find that support?  How will you know you are choosing the right role for you?

Being ready and aware is crucial to your ability to upgrade yourself. Are you settling for a less taxing role in life because if feels safe? The brave people step into the spotlight. BE BRAVE!
