Keeping Self-Belief Alive
"I believe in the sun even when it's not shining"
Anne Frank
It is par for the course that an actor will spend a percentage of his/her working life in between jobs or "resting." Having been an actor for over 10 years, I have experienced the highs and lows of "resting" first hand and it can be extremely challenging to your self-belief.
It is easy for any of us to feel confident and believe in ourselves when we are riding high doing what we love and receiving good reviews for our efforts.
But when the curtain falls for the final time, the void ahead can be quite frightening. "Rejection does not mean no!"

"No does not mean never!"

I have just finished a hugely successful run at the Tricycle Theatre in London in a play that received rave reviews, alongside some incredibly talented actors. Now, I find myself yet again facing a term of uncertainty.

Good luck!!
