First Impressions

Start counting!Ten seconds. Not long, is it? Just about enough time to pour a glass of water, tie your shoelace, sugar and stir your tea. And, if numerous studies are to be believed, enough time for us to create that make or break first impression.

Picture yourself at a social gathering: a wedding, group interview, night down the pub. A stranger enters the room. Within ten seconds, you'll have made a whole range of crucial judgements about this person, before they have even uttered a word.

You'll have placed them in a social class, you'll have a strong idea of their level of education, their career, even their prowess as a lover.

Decisions

From these judgements, you'll make split second decisions on your future relationship with this person:

  • Are they "your type?"
  • Do they fit in?
  • Are they worthy of becoming a part of your life?

And the shocking fact is, if we make a bad impression first time around, research shows that we need to make a further 21 good impressions to set the record straight, to redeem ourselves, as it were.

Far better, wouldn’t you agree, to put some effort into getting it right first time around?

Face value

Let's face it, whether we like it or not, all of us already have a personal image. Regardless of how much effort we are putting into our appearance, the way we look is speaking volumes to those around us.

My work as an Image Coach is all about making sure the messages we are sending out are in line with the way we want to be perceived. I want to help you ensure that your non verbal, first impressions are a true reflection of you at your fabulous, gorgeous, most confident best.
