Five Top Tips To Make It Real

1. Get nosey

Become your very own private investigator. People watch, ask questions, read articles and books about people that you find inspiring.

Search out people who were once in your "shoes" and have turned their lives around. What was their turning point? What support did they enlist?

2. Look inside

Yes, it's all very well discovering how other people did it, but YOU are the important one here.

What gets you so excited, that given the opportunity you wouldn't stop talking about it? What would you do if you had a failure-proof plan and no financial restrictions?

This really is the path to your crock of gold.

Support3. Talk about it - to the RIGHT people

Who are the right people? I have personally drawn up my very own "sacred" safe list.

I only discuss my dreams, ambitions and ideas with the people on my sacred safe list. Why?

Because I know they will support, encourage, uplift and champion my corner. Talking about it to just anyone can dilute your energy, create doubts and highlight your fears.

4. Admit the truth

All of us probably get a glimpse of our "crock of gold" almost everyday but we simply choose to ignore it because the other options in our lives appear to be so much safer.

However, sometimes that safety can crush every inch of us. There's nothing safe about being crushed! Stop ignoring what you're trying to tell yourself.

Write it down, look at it, find a picture of it. If your dream is to be a helicopter pilot for example, how will you ever know what that feels like until you sit in the cockpit of a helicopter. Take that first lesson...

Begin to MAKE IT REAL.

5. Commit to it

A half a wish and a half an idea does not equal success. Yes, we've all heard of people who got to the top via a lucky break, on "a wing and a prayer" - but unless you've got strong wings, I personally wouldn't rely on this method.

Commitment grows stronger once you've made it real and miracles really can happen once you make the commitment.
