Five Steps To Take Your Vision To Action

1. Create a Vision Built to Last

Know what your company stands for. Create a vision that expresses the real benefit that your company offers. For example Walt Disney's "Bringing Happiness to Millions." Walt may have left us but his vision lives on. Create a vision that will live on.

2. Make it Real

Collect evidence that what you do supports your vision. The more evidence you have the more credible your vision becomes.

3. Walk the Talk

Make sure that you enrol others in your vision by being a living example of it in your work and in your life.

4. Honour Your Values

A Vision that is not congruent with who you really are will end up being a fantasy. Make sure that you can support your vision by being able to honour your own values when working towards it.

5. Communicate Your Vision

Create "buy-in" from everyone who works with you by being able to communicate your vision, so that everyone can understand it and implement it. Know how to express your ideas so that you can take your vision into action.
