Your Precious Journey

One day you finally knew what you had to do, and began, though the voices around you kept shouting their bad advice, though the whole house began to tremble and you felt the old tug at your ankles…

But little by little, as you left their voices behind, the stars began to burn through the sheets of clouds, and there was a new voice which you slowly recognized as your own, that kept you company as you strode deeper and deeper into the world, determined to do the only thing you could do – determined to save the only life you could save.’
The Journey

Your JourneyI love the message in this poem written by Mary Oliver. It speaks to everyone who knows there is more to life than they are presently living, alerting you to whisperings under your own skin, hunches in your gut.

Her poem speaks to you, wherever you are on your journey, to begin to make small changes or to fall headlong into the life that has been waiting for you all along.

It may be the time to start walking, to stand by the truth you may have known all along but were not ready until this moment to acknowledge. The forces wanting you to stay where you are can be daunting. But the choice is always yours.

In our current fear driven climate, it would be all too easy to listen to ‘the voices around you… shouting their bad advice.’ The challenge has never been greater to get on with your journey and stay true to your authentic path.

I believe that right now, there is a wonderful challenge and urgency in the air for all of us to reassess what we are doing with our journey.

Is it really the one for you? Are you on your path or one you stumbled onto? Have you followed someone else’s footsteps? Think about it.

This week, I’ve brought together three inspiring examples of people who have got on their paths and onto their rightful journeys. They are:

  • Jennifer, a client who decided to listen to herself and not the voices around her, and become the powerful businesswoman she knows she is cut out to be
  • Claire, who came to a Success group I taught last year and really grasped her talent as an artist. She is doing so well and I LOVE her work. She has her own show in central London until Dec 6th, details below. Do go!
  • Julia, who decided at fifty, it was time to leave leafy Somerset and head to a new life in France. She bought a run-down Chateau and through a lot of hard work and heartache transformed it into a gorgeous guesthouse. I stayed there recently and had the most wonderful R&R, met some great people – and learnt Reiki healing.

I salute every one of them:
