Keep the Dream Alive

We can all talk up a good idea in the pub, but 99.9 per cent of the population never does anything about it.

A money-maker will get up the next morning and, even with a massive hangover, have the confidence to turn that idea into a money spinner.’

Philip Beresford compiles the annual Sunday Times Rich List, and while making millions may not be your priority, making your dreams materialise probably is. His observation is that there are two types of people:

  • Those who dream
  • Those who do something about it

Keep dreaming the dreamAfter twenty years of coaching, I agree. At the end of last week’s Purpose, Passion & Destiny seminar, I emphasised the importance of honouring your dreams by taking action to materialise them.

What, you asked, would help you achieve this? My answer – the right support.

To make changes, to dream and scheme big, you need the right sort of support. Some of us are lucky enough to have that in our lives. Some of us are not. Either way, the additional support of a great coach will give you the edge to push ahead.

A great coach will take you seriously – and encourage you to do the same. They will hold you to your word. They will hold you accountable, increasing the likelihood of you following through and fulfilling your grande passion.

At the seminar, a number of you made very distinct commitments. I invited you to email me when you’re ready to launch your big idea, so I could spread the word through my Newsletter. You know who you are!

This isn’t pressure – it’s support. By holding you accountable you know you aren’t on your own, and someone is waiting to cheer your achievement.

And I want to walk my own talk and do something about my own dream: I am giving myself the time and focus to finish my new book, so I won’t be taking another workshop until I’ve done so!
